We’re proud to celebrate Daniel Zuniga, a 4th grader at Empire Elementary, who has been chosen as this year’s Student Spotlight! Daniel has a way of making everyone around him feel seen and supported. Whether it’s through a kind word, a smile that lifts someone’s day, or simply being there for a friend, he spreads positivity wherever he goes. His warmth and thoughtfulness leave a mark on our school community every single day. Congratulations, Daniel! And a special thank you to the Zuniga family, your love, encouragement, and support at home help make Daniel’s growth and kindness possible. This is a wonderful reminder that it truly takes a village to help our students shine.

At EUSD, we believe every child deserves a strong, joyful start to school. That’s why, for the past three years, we’ve been working side by side with California Education Partners and districts across the state to make early learning, especially early math, more connected, more engaging, and more empowering for our youngest students.

As temperatures continue to drop, families are welcome to use any of Stanislaus County’s designated warming centers for a safe, heated place to stay during the day. These are free community spaces located at local libraries, community centers, transit centers, and more.
